My First Ball Jointed Doll, Works In Progress Part I

I am very excited to show you the progress on my first Ball Jointed Doll.  I've already had some trials and errors, but these are the pieces that I'm finally happy with.
My wonderful and talented friend Kaerie Faerie is helping me along the way on this project.  She makes the most wonderful clay and porcelain ball jointed dollies.  You can visit her blog here!
Now for the Works In Progress photos.  This is what I've done so far...

Her name is Molley and since she is my first Ball Jointed Dollie, I will be keeping her.  I can't wait to play with her when she's done.

If I'm successful at making Ball Jointed Dollies, I will try to make some in the future for my etsy shop.  I know that I have a lot to learn and probably a few BJ Dollies that I will have to create in order to get it right.  So until next time...

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

A Painting Video and Some Finished Works...

Hello!

I thought it would be fun to show a little video, of a painting I finished and a bit of the process it goes through.

I hope to have this painting available in my etsy shop by the end of this year, as I have to wait for the oil paint to dry (6 months) then I have to varnish it. I love that part because the colors come back to life again.

Here she is all finished!

"They watched as she fed the little bird"
8"x10" Oil Painting on Canvas

I actually did this painting in a small series of three, so here are the other two paintings that will accompany it.

"Fox Mount"
4"x5" Oil Painting on Canvas

and the two headed baby goat that I'm still working on.

" Two Headed Baby Goat"
5"x7" Oil Painting on Canvas

All three paintings will be available on antique frames.

Here is a painting that I just finished.

This painting is now available in my etsy shop.

I'm Back Again!

I've decided to start this blog again. The blog on my website doesn't allow me to reply to my comments and is very limited in how it functions. When I tried to move all of my blog posts and your lovely comments on blogger to my website, there was a glitch of some sort and I lost everything.:o( So I will be starting here from scratch again...here are a few things I've been working on as of lately.

This is my latest art doll that I finished and her name is Mina.

Although Mina is a ghost, she does scare easily and prefers not to be left alone in the dark.

Mina is now available for adoption in my etsy shop.
~~~~~
This is a new painting that I finished titled "Girl with Candlelight".
4"x6" Acrylic painting on a flat canvas panel.
This painting is now available in my etsy shop.
Granny Shawls...
I made these tiny shawls for some dollies I am making. I'm sure it will keep them nice and warm on those cold and chilly nights.
Wishing everyone the loveliest weekend!
